Upper School 10 - 13
Forms 6 - 8
Children in the Upper School are taught by specialist subject teachers in specialist classrooms, for all lessons.
The Upper School lessons are based in the Hamilton Building and the Sanderson Building. Children also visit the Art Department, Music Department and the Computer Suite for IT.
Every pupil in Form 8 sits the Independent Schools Examination Board (ISEB) Common Entrance examinations in the Summer Term. A typical diet of examinations includes English, Maths, Science, French, Geography, History and Latin. Those pupils who do not study Latin are examined in Theology, Philosophy and Religion instead. Classical Greek is also popular as an optional extra.
The ISEB Common Entrance provides a focus for all our academic endeavour in the senior part of the school and the understanding and practical experience gained by pupils is a key element of their future successes in formal examinations at GCSE level and beyond.
