U9 netball vs Loretto

The U9 girls travelled to Loretto Junior School on Wednesday the 18th for their last netball fixture of the year. When we arrived, we were met with only four Loretto U9 girls, so we improvised and played three mixed teams, the Purples, the Pinks, and the Reds. The girls took this change in their stride and got to know the names of their new Loretto teammates. The girls played a triangular tournament, with the first game played between the Purple team vs the Red team. Purple won 4-1 in honour of Winnie scraping her knee on the deadly concrete of the junior school courts! The second game was against the Pink team and the Purple team, with Pink winning 8-0! Some great passing and teamwork was demonstrated. Game three had Pink and Red play against each other with Pink winning 4-0! The Pinks won overall, with a total of 12 goals scored! Well done girls, it’s been a great netball season, with lots of improvements shown over the course of the term!
