On Wednesday afternoon a group of keen and skilful U9 hockey players headed up the A68 to Musselburgh to take on Loretto Nippers.

Fielding an experienced squad comprising all 8 Form 4 boys and 6 players from Form 3, we were able to play two teams against the home side.

Both St. Mary's 1 captained by Will and St. Mary's 2 captained by Rocco ran out as winners in their matches against Loretto. However, it was the speed and ferocity of the two matches between St. Mary's 1 v St. Mary's 2 that really caught the eye. 

With the ball whizzing from end to end, it was hard to keep up with play at times. Although the results of these two games is already lost in the mists of time; the skill level on display from both St. Mary's sides will not be easily forgotten!
