U11B Cricket v Fettes
Wednesday 29th May
St. Mary’s 111, Fettes 26
Our U11 squads all got off to a fantastic start to their season on Wednesday, playing their first match of the season at home on the backfield in beautiful sunshine. The team looked incredibly smart and professional in their new cricket whites, setting the tone for what would be a brilliant afternoon.

After winning the toss, we chose to field first and it proved to be an excellent decision. The team fielded superbly from the very first ball, showing great focus, energy, and teamwork throughout. Communication was constant and positive, with players encouraging each other every step of the way. Their efforts paid off as we restricted Fettes to just 26 runs in total. An outstanding display in the field.
Heading into bat, the team carried that same confidence and determination. The batting was equally impressive, with players consistently looking to score and putting pressure on the opposition. There were some fantastic shots played towards the boundary, plenty of well-earned fours, and some really exciting running between the wickets. Communication remained strong, with players supporting and challenging each other to keep improving.
All of this led to a remarkable total of 111 runs, securing a convincing victory to start the season. It was a performance full of teamwork, skill, and positivity - something to be incredibly proud of. A brilliant first match and a very proud coach to kick off the season!
