St. Mary's Tigers vs Mowden Hall
We had a beautiful sunny afternoon for our first mixed U9's cricket match at home. We won the toss and chose to field first. We had a super catch and a couple of hits to the wickets which was fantastic. We did give away a few points with wide bowling and a few no bowls. This is something we can definitely practice during our training sessions. However, on the whole our fielding was strong.
We did well in batting and scored a few 4's and even some 6's. Something to work on next time would be the strength of our hits so we can make some single runs.
I was impressed by our first match, and it was a very close game, and we just finished a few points ahead at the very last run by scoring a 6. This shows the importance of never giving up until the very last bowl. Well done, the Tigers. An enjoyable game.
