St. Mary’s 4ths produced a fantastic team performance to beat Mowden by 36 runs in an exciting match on Wednesday. Mowden finished on 36, meaning we knew exactly what was needed when batting second, and the team responded brilliantly to reach 72 and secure the win. 

There were strong performances throughout the side, with Harriet taking two wickets, while Alice and Maisie also impressed with wickets of their own. Accurate bowling from Mairi, Maisie and Harriet helped keep the pressure on Mowden from the start. 

With the bat, Harriet, Maisie and Bene all struck excellent 4s, keeping the scoreboard moving. Clarissa and Maisie were the highest-scoring pair, batting confidently and working well together to help guide the team towards victory. 

Once again, every player contributed to the success, and it was especially pleasing to see how much the communication improved across the whole team. A well-deserved win and a performance they should all be proud of.
