Boarding Blog - week ending 31st October 2025

We had a spooktastic week in boarding!

We started off strong with a pumpkin carving contest, where Alice and Annie took first place, and Archie and Poppy came in as runners-up.

On Tuesday, the children enjoyed an intense and exciting game full of fun challenges—each one earning them plenty of sweets along the way!

Wednesday brought a race around Melrose, with teams competing to snap photos at all the iconic spots in town. Mr Harvey’s dogs may have made a few surprise appearances in some of the team photos too!

After prep on Thursday, the children embarked on another one of Miss Pugh’s famous magic challenges. This time, riddles were hidden around the school, sending the three groups off in different directions to uncover the clues.

It was a brilliant Halloween week full of creativity, teamwork, and laughter. Happy Halloween to all—we’re looking forward to a slightly less spooky week of boarding next week!
