3rd XI v Loretto

Our final game of the season took place on the backfields against Loretto. Despite the clouds in the sky the rain stayed away, making for a pleasant day of cricket. 

Emelia won the toss and choose to bowl. Lottie bowled well limiting the runs and taking 2 wickets. Annie was also able to take a wicket and was unlucky not to have more. Harriet and Harvey we good in the field helping reduce Loretto’s run rate and both bowled well. 

Emelia opened the batting and got the run chase off to a strong start scoring a very strong 28 before being retired. Isla and Archie batted well together, they had good communication and were able to find the boundary often. Hector R was able to quickly score runs and help the team complete the chase, he scored 23. 

It was a brilliant performance by the team, great bowling and fielding, and a batting performance to match chasing down the score. This game was a great way to round out a confident and successful season.
