About Us
BSc (Hons), PGCE Assistant Housemaster, Games, ICT PE, Asst. Tutor Form 6
Born and raised in Edinburgh where I attended The Edinburgh Academy for all of my school days. I loved school and got involved in as many aspects of school life as possible. Highlights were being an active member of the 1st XV Rugby team, where I was fortunate enough to play at Murrayfield in the Schools cup final, and reaching the rank of Cadet Colour Sergeant in the school CCF.

After school I spent a year working and travelling around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia where I had an amazing time and met some great people. Following this I attended The University of Stirling completing a BSc Hons in Sport and Exercise Science, graduating in 2016. Whilst at university I had the honour of serving as both vice-captain and captain of the 1st XV during a very fond 4 years with some of my closest friends.

Having been thrust into the real world I began to consider my career and life after education. I knew that I loved all sport and enjoyed working with children so decided to take up a rugby coaching role at The Edinburgh Academy where I discovered my love of teaching and helping others through sport and physical education. The following year The Edinburgh Academy supported me through my PGCE in PE Teaching with The University of Buckingham.

I am absolutely delighted to be starting my teaching career here at St Mary’s where I will be Housemaster for the boys boarding house and working with the 1st XV. I will be teaching PE and Games to all ages and I will also be helping out with ICT Science and Maths.

Outside of school, I play rugby for Edinburgh Academicals in the Scottish Premiership. I also enjoy keeping fit and playing golf.
