About Us
Head of Learning Support BSc (Hons), SpLD Form 7 Tutor, PHSE, Debating
Educated at Croham Hurst School for Girls in Surrey and then at Aberdeen University where I gained a BSc Hons. Psychology.

I worked in industry for 28 years in the area of Personnel and Training, being employed by Standard Telephones and Cables (STC/ITT) where I worked with the company psychologist in the field of psychometric testing. I also spent time working for Wang Computers and then spent the last ten years of my industrial career working as the Director and Vice President of Human Resources for McQueen (Sykes) Ltd. I left industry when my youngest child was two just after Sykes had taken over McQueen as I did not wish to accept the role of VP of Human Resources for Europe, the Middle East and Africa as I would have spent too much time away from home.

I joined the Board of Governors at St Mary’s as a Parent Governor in 1996.

Having left industry in 1999 I then retrained gaining my formal Specific Learning Difficulty Diploma (SpLD) in 2000. I taught privately for four years before joining the staff at St Mary’s. I now head up the ASL Department and work within the Senior Management Team.

I was on the Board on the Edinburgh International Film Festival and am a member of the Children’s Panel.

Hobbies: Breeding poultry; fishing; the odd glass of wine!
