Employment Opportunities
Situated in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders, yet only 30 miles from Edinburgh, St. Mary's offers a unique opportunity for teachers of all levels and experience.
We pride ourselves in ensuring that all our teaching staff are well supported both in terms of CPD and in their day to day teaching. New staff members are made to feel welcome and part of the team via an effective mentor programme. Regular staff meetings and INSET workshops ensure a healthy team spirit, and our staff ethos is very much of a family nature.
SCIS (Scottish Council of Independent Schools), offers outstanding support and guidance for teachers in Scotland through regular courses and mailings.
St. Mary's has a strong reputation for being a happy school where teachers and children alike are valued and respected. Please note: All staff are expected to play a full part in the life of St. Mary's. To that end, willingness to help with games (rugby, hockey, cricket, rounders, netball) would certainly be appreciated.
