U10 hockey v Riley House

Wednesday 4th December
St. Mary’s 3, Riley House 3

It was a very cold afternoon for our final match of the season.  Unfortunately, we could only play 7 girls today, and they really missed having their full team together.  This was reflected in the first half of their game where they seemed to lose sight of their communication and teamwork.  They took some time to warm up.

However, after having some oranges at half time and giving themselves a reminder that it was their last game of the season, they went back on for the second half fighting.

The game flowed, it was fast pace and the girls were determined to score.  They were delighted to get a goal in the last 5 minutes of play to equalise.
A successful match.
I would like to say a huge well done to all the girls for a wonderful season of hockey.  They have all progressed over the term and their happy, smiley and friendly approach to all matches made it a very enjoyable time.
Well done to you all.
