Reception class Bowhill Nov 19

Reception class Bowhill Nov 19

On Monday morning, Reception class headed to Bowhill near Selkirk for an autumn walk.  Kitty our HNC student came too and we were met there by Michael Paton, the Countryside Ranger.  After a quick snack, Michael took us for a lovely walk near the loch. We took little buckets with us for a scavenger hunt. We found lots of different shaped and coloured autumn leaves plus some lichen and nuts.  It was rather chilly and the loch was frozen in parts but it was nice to see two swans swimming.
When we returned to the cosy room at Bowhill, we stuck on the things we had collected onto paper to make little pictures.  It was a lovely autumn walk and we are now thinking of returning next year for a spring walk!
