After a BBQ tea on Monday, boarders enjoyed free time in the school grounds playing cricket, tennis and football and chatting under the shade of the big tree. Some of the senior girls enjoyed Just Dance in the IT room.
On Tuesday we all bussed up to Bowden Loch to begin our ascent on Eildon North. We walked up through the saddle and looked down on Melrose. It was a special time as Form 8 leavers reminisced on their time at St. Mary's.
On Wednesday there were tennis matches and a rounders batting competition on the front pitch. After some free time outside some of the boarders headed to the Rawsons to have a giggle watching Mr Bean.
Following Prizegiving Form 8's played rounders and cricket in the orchard. Then there was pizza and popcorn in the staff garden, a photo movie with a round up of this year's highlights at the Harvey's house.
Form 8 then set about the school creating amusing and thoughtful pranks for their much loved staff...Mr Morris is the acting Headmaster for the last day of term, classrooms have been tastefully rearranged, photocopied faces adorn the walls of the Hamilton and post it notes with quips cover staff photo's and notices. Mrs Bell won't forget to lock her office door next term...
Goodbye Form 8 leavers, what an amzing year it has been! It has been a pleasure to have you in the Girls' and Boys' Houses and part of this big happy boarding family. We will miss you all but you have been wonderful role models for those that follow you and you have inspired so many to come and board with you. I am proud to watch you leave and begin your new adventures and look forward to you coming back to visit!!
