Tuesday 18th June
With the seniors away at camp, we welcomed Form 2 into the boarding houses on Tuesday evening. After a BBQ tea, everyone gathered under the big tree to get into teams for a nature scavenger hunt… They searched high and low for seeds, leaves, pinecones, mini-beasts and tested their artistic skills with drawings of flora, fauna and the GAPS! Then there were games of Cops & Robbers and hide and seek all before watching the fancy dress parade pass the front gates.
Then it was back to the boarding houses for showers, snack and bedtime stories. It was a lovely evening and a great opportunity for the younger boarders to experience boarding for the first time.
Wednesday 19th June
Wednesday night was relaxed after the form 6’s returned from their camp. It was free time after tea and boarders played tennis, batted in the cricket nets and tucked up with a movie in the Girls’ House. Everyone enjoyed a well deserved rest after a busy and exciting start to the week.
Thursday 20th June
Boarders soaked up the Festival atmosphere and took part in a treasure hunt along Melrose high street.
