U9's Match Report

Wednesday 22nd November

The St Mary's Under 9's along with Ardvreck took part in a round robin festival on a very wet and windy Wednesday afternoon up at Cargilfield. Although playing on a wet and very muddy pitch all teams played to the conditions keeping the play tight with the occasional run up the touchline.  Considering that the rugby ball was like a bar of soap some fine passing and offloading still took place. First up were Ardvreck which St Mary's won comfortably this was followed by a break while Cargilfield played Ardvreck which they won. The break did not help St Mary's for their second and final game, although playing some good rugby our hosts were just a little bit warmer! and won the match.

All involved were glad when the final whistle went so we could return to the warm changing rooms.

Well done to all the squad and to the parents who made the effort for coming along.
