What a super game to umpire.  The girls, after winning the toss, quickly went on the attack and continued to retain possession for most of the first half.   On the rare occasion that Longridge did gain possession, the girls quickly responded and moved from an attacking to a defensive role. The team as a whole played some good hockey and moved the ball around the pitch, using the full width and passing the ball accurately.  We went into half time 2 – 0 in the lead.
St Mary’s continued to push forward in attack in the second half, Longridge had a couple of attacks on goal, but our defence were quick to react, move forward to tackle and clear the ball to our forwards.  A number of strong runs on goal resulted in St Mary’s scoring a further 4 goals.  Final score 6 – 0

Well done girls
