U10 A and B V Fettes

Wednesday 1st November
St. Mary’s U10A 0, Fettes 4
St. Mary’s U10B 1, Fettes 2

We were ready for our first match today and delighted to host the girls from Fettes after a relaxing half term.
Both matches were fast and furious from the start and although the final results were not in our favour, we have learned some valuable lessons which we can work on in training sessions.
Kate – our Captain today, worked hard in midfield and displayed good ball skills
Lily – kept busy in both defence and on the wing with a determined approach
Emily – displayed her usual enthusiasm and confidence to zoom around the pitch
Tiggy – kept the ball moving and even after a crash with the goal, return to play on
Skye – superb versatile skills on the wing and in defence
Mabel – kept busy as our centre forward today displaying great skills
Iona – another quick and speedy match with lots of good contact with the ball
Sophie – moved from defence to attack with ease and tried hard in both positions
Emerson – displayed great dribbling skills in midfield
Anna – great to see her slick stick skills throughout the match as centre forward
Cadence – fearless in defence and a wonderful Captain
Harriet – quietly composed in midfield
Bea – demonstrated a good understanding of spacing in the match as left wing
The other 3 players were from the Fettes squad and were a valuable asset to the U10B team.
We also hope to have Ally back in the team soon.
Thank you to all the parent supporters today who ignored the rain and wind to cheer the teams on.
