Parents

27th October 2017

We welcomed four new starters to St. Mary’s after half term, and all four have settled in quickly and efficiently. Staff have been impressed with how pupils have returned well-rested and eager to get on with the second half of term, and as I write the much-anticipated lecture heats are due to take place. Judging by the various props and the finishing touches pupils have been adding, I am optimistic that the very high standard of lectures we have witnessed over the last few years will be maintained.

I am also delighted to announce that former much-loved games teacher, Mr Ian Millar, will be returning to oversee the games coaching of the U9 and U8 rugby. Mr Millar will also be teaching pre-prep games and assisting in lessons in the Middle School. He starts on Monday. We have also welcomed to the catering team Caitlin Dunbar as Assistant Chef, and Sarah Logan as Kitchen Assistant. Chef, Angie, and Emma, with assistance from various helpers, coped superbly well with absence from the team in the final two weeks before half term.

That is all I have to report on this week.  I look forward to resuming a full week of normal services on Monday.

Enjoy your weekend.
