The Great Outdoors team had a lovely walk/run to the Tweed to explore the different plants that are growing on the river bank and in the hedges on the way. The invasive Himalayan Balsam with its exploding seed heads proved almost as popular and fascinating for the children as  the skimming and stone throwing competition! The glorious sunshine of the day suddenly vanished, however, and of course this was at our furthest out place, but we all found shelter on a comfy tree as we watched the river coursing by. We are looking forward to our big walk up to the Saddle of the Eildon next week.
