School wins TWO wildlife awards!

St. Mary's has won the Woodland Trust's bronze and silver level Green Tree Schools awards.

The school has always been closely linked to the countryside.

Recently, Forms 5, 6, 7 and 8 have been building bughouses and birdboxes to improve our school campus as a haven for wildlife.

Forms 6 and 7 have built tree nurseries and will be planting trees granted by the Woodland Trust in the Michaelmas Term.

The awards also build on the successes of the Kindergarten taking the children outside of the classroom and into the woods.

We have lots of plans to develop both Outdoor Learning and wildlife conservation at  St. Mary's.

Well done to all involved!
