U11B Cricket 26 april 2017

A new term brings and new sport, and hopefully better weather as well! The U11 Bs have done exceptionally well fine tuning their existing knowledge of cricket over the 3 games sessions we have had together before heading up to the south side of Edinburgh on Wednesday afternoon, and they certainly did themselves proud!

Kwik Cricket is designed to give everyone a shot of both batting and bowling, to allow the children to develop skills further and the boys certainly excelled. The team, led by George, flew out of the blocks and got the scoreboard ticking over, everyone managed to continue to put pressure on the Merchiston fielders, and before long, it was our turn to bowl and field.

The boys stuck at it hard, bowling and fielding with everything they had especially being down a man as well, so it meant that there was even more field to cover, and that later proved the difference between the two sides with Merchiston finishing with 5 runs more to steal the victory.

The boys have done extremely well considering the limited amount of practice we have had and should be very proud of their performances! On wards and upwards as they say for the mighty U11 Bs!!
