Under 11A Rugby v Longridge Towers

Wednesday 8th March
Under 11As 8 tries – 1 Try

It was a trip along the border for the U11 A team, this week to get to Longridge Towers. The boys knew what they had to do and play after another good couple of training sessions over the last week. This was definitely an extremely physical game, and the boys fronted up, and put in a defensive effort to be proud of. Low chopping tackles, allowed for the ball to be turned over on numerous occasion, which allowed the boys to play 80% of the match in Longridge’s half.

However, scoring, was not as easy as the score line suggests. Longridge themselves were physical at both tackle and ruck time which slowed our ball down which prevented us from flinging the ball wide. In addition to this, the wind was blowing a gale and anytime the ball was passed it certainly made it difficult for the boys to put any distance on their passes. Credit to the boys, this adjusted to the external factor and still managed to play the wide expansive game we have been working towards.

This weeks tries came from Fredrick (2), Thomas (3), Caelan (1), Ollie (1) and Mac (1)
