Under 10A Netball v Longridge

Wednesday 8th March
Longridge 27  St. Mary’s 13
U10A Netball 8 March

With our final match of the season ahead of us, we travelled to Longridge with the U10B.  We won the toss and decided to take the first pass.  Very quickly into the game our hosts started to score, with the netball being flipped into the net with ease by their very tall and skilful GA.  Although we had lots of chances at the net, we were not always successful which meant the Longridge girls took the lead on scoring on each individual quarter.
Although the score was not what we had hoped for today I was still delighted with the great teamwork, sportsmanship and overall effort.  Imo and Elena displayed a great partnership in defence where they continually tried to stop goals as well as accurately pass the ball away from the D at every opportunity.  Emily, Freyja and Emma were quick to find space and pass the ball on in their respective positions and were speedy around the court to find space as well as mark the very able opposition.  Finally, Elsa and Willa who are already a proven successful combination were slighted disheartened, proved to be valuable players in our squad today and all over the season.  We scored a very impressive 13 goals!
Well done girls!  We have had a wonderful season as the summary shows.
I am looking forward to the Rounders season with you all.
