St. Mary's travelled the long journey up to Riley House on what was a good day for playing rugby, in dry and cool conditions.
With the warm up completed and St. Mary's looking reasonably sharp, the game began. Riley House pressed forward with some big, prowerful runs, however these were soon stopped by some great tackling by Henry S. Riley then conceded possession and with some great interlinking play, St. Mary's got the first points on the board through a score from Mitchell C.

However this lead was soon to be quashed as there was some fairly lacklustre defence from St. Mary's and scores were soon level again. The lead seemed to change hands a few times in the first half with St. Mary's attacking pace proving problematic for Riley and the opposition size getting the better of the St. Mary's defence. With scores level at half time, it was all to play for!

The second half began as the first half ended with some great running from Ed S and some great passing from Robbie L. This led to scores from Mitchell C, Archie J, Robbie L and Ed S for St. Mary's. This was accompanied by some great pressure in defence, especially in the rucks from Alex M and Jack H. The score line changed hands all the way through the game and in what was one of the best attacking performances, it ended in a draw, 7-7, a fitting end to a great game!
Well done boys!
