The last Thursday in September can only mean one thing in Pre-Prep – Macmillan Coffee Morning Time! A chance for our young party planners to host their first event of the year and they made an excellent job of it.
Invitations were designed and decorated on a tea cup theme this year and carefully handed out. The next job was baking supplies ready for those who attended. Chef was in charge of baking and gave us all the careful instructions to follow as we poured, sprinkled and mixed the ingredients to produce plenty of supplies of yummy cakes.
Children waited eagerly for their visitors to arrive and it was lovely to see so many people, and even one or two members of staff, pop in for a cup of coffee, a cake and a chat. The children looked after everybody very well indeed; carrying cakes and taking orders for tea and coffee. They were excellent, (a little over enthusiastic at times!), at encouraging everybody to donate to such a worthy cause and were quick to suggest having a guess at our ‘Spot the Cake’ game. Congratulations to Susan Green for being only 3 over the correct number of 495 spots on the cake.
Very well done to all the Pre-Prep children for working so hard and sensibly to raise £283. A great total – Thank you!
