U11 Hockey v Cargilfield

It was fantastic to be given the opportunity to play at Peffermill and to use one of Scotland’s best hockey pitches.

Unfortunately for the Under 11s this was a day in which we were beaten fairly and squarely!

From the whistle it was clear that Cargilfield were very good astro players and they were strong and confident into the bargain!

To their great credit, the St.Mary’s girls displayed the spirit for which they are renowned and did not let their heads drop-they fought on in the face of adversity, and for that, each and every one of them must be commended.

The standard of play we witnessed from the Cargilfield girls was second to none, I know other schools have suffered heavier defeats at their hands and so the St. Mary’s squad should not be too downhearted!
