U12 Netball v Melrose Primary

After our last game with Melrose Primary was cancelled due to the frost, we were delighted that today’s weather was more conducive to competitive sport, although it was rather cold!

As you would expect, the game was played in great spirit with both teams hungry for success. Initially we proved too strong for our visitors and we took an early lead. However, Melrose Primary began to get to grips with the game and did everything other than score. I was pleased with the work rate of the St. Mary’s girls and their energy throughout the afternoon, despite the cold. Some excellent shooting and lively movement off the ball made the going tough for the Melrose Primary girls.

Well done to all the girls.

I am delighted that we have been able to reinforce our link with Melrose Primary and I very much hope that this will be the first of many games against then this year.
