U9 Netball v Loretto

St Mary’s 8 Loretto 8

On Wednesday the Under 9 team set off for Musselburgh to play against Loretto. After a quick talk about the rules the game was soon under way.  I cannot fault the girls for their efforts and determination, playing in the cold, windy weather.

Under nines displayed excellent team work with a fair draw between Loretto.

Nearing the last minute and throughout the match Centre Lucy B marked accurately.

Defending Loretto, all the girls stuck close to the opposition.

Eagerly defending the goal Bailey and Stephanie marked closely.

Running quickly to get the ball despite the chilly, frosty conditions.

Noticing clear spaces Megan ran quickly into them to receive the ball.

In the shooting circle Lucy R successfully scored 3 goals.

Nimbly and enthusiastically Annabel dodged the Loretto WD.

Eagerly zooming into a space to receive the ball.

Standing strong ready to shoot Niamh scored 5 goals.

Well played girls. I know you are all looking forward to the hockey match against Cargilfield at St Mary’s on Wednesday.
